Twisting and turning, a road leads the way
To the mountains - far, looking all cold and gray.

I know! This is my first attempt at poetry. The only time I can remember writing anything close to a poem was back in 11th standard and 'things' (don't ask) happened. Vids or Rahul should be able to do much better. Why dont you give it a shot guys?

Location : En route to Mekedatu (Goat's Leap), Karnataka.

  • Fantastic Sandeep. Your exposure is spot on. You just got everything right from the hills to the sunlit roof of the car. The (seemingly) soft and serene hills contrast well with the foreground. The colour contrast adds to the beauty as well. On top of it the herd of cows leads the viewer right up to the car and then you feel like peeping in to check who's inside. I like it very much. Don't think I can write poetry but might as well try since its free :) Here I go... • Excellent framing and the entire village mood. But most marks goes to the opportunity you gave us with the disclosure. Heheeee... enjoyyyy

  • Nature's Lesson
    - Ms. V

    Trying to get there
    Driving real fast
    Wanting to reach
    Before the sky is cast

    But little did we know
    Nature had a plan
    Different from ours
    Destined before-hand

    A cow herdsman
    Tending to his cattle
    Blocking our way
    Stirring up a rattle

    Go left we shout
    No wait, go right
    The cows don't budge
    Honk as we might

    So we hit the breaks
    Slaves to fate
    Only to discover
    So much as we wait

    Silent mountains yonder
    The rustling of the leaves
    The cow's orderly chaos
    The herdsman as he heaves

And we are grateful for the car
    Sheltering from a burning sun
And a home to reach that night
Where someone's waiting for their son
