This camp was located in the middle of the 'forest' down in south India. Not so much a 'forest' because the land was mostly barren. Looked like someone had made lots of money.

The most interesting part about this place though was that there was no electricity. Pitch dark! This was the first time in my life that I've had to go through an entire night in the dark, and it was amazing. I remember the cold wind blowing against my face. So strong it could take me away with it.

All of us stayed back in the dark for quiet some time. Warm food and short intros. Singing songs, sharing stories, pulling each others legs and then taking photographs. We made logos in the air, wrote names and drew figures of people. It was the best thing to happen in a long time.

Most of us couldnt bear the blistering cold and eventually we all found ourselves cuddling together in the comfort of the hut.

  • Beautiful. I like how you included the moon/star. Without it the picture would've been dead. Great work.

  • Interestingly I have the exact opposite sentiment of the comment above. I wish the star wasn't there. I've been trying to "dust" it off my screen with my hand but it won't go away! :P

  • I wasnt quiet sure about the star myself. Dint think it wasn that big a distraction, so i let it be.

  • Thanks for your visit. I really like your photography blog. Do let me know if you plan to go on another one of those photography expeditions. Maybe I'll tag along. :-)
